Entrances to Hell
around the UK

Wash

Cardigan, Ceredigion

Wash, like Chee-ops, was designed in the second half of the 20th century and originally had no main door or internal hatches. Rather than shut the entrance down, an attempt was made in 1975 to make this entrance more secure by bolting on a good strong door but sadly poor workmanship has made this a weak spot in Hell's defences and Wash is scheduled to be blocked up in Spring. Has seen very little use except as an in-out for Moth-Cams.
